5 ingredient healthy peanut butter cups [dairy & gluten free]


 

Peanut butter cups are basically everyone's favorite. These are simple & made with only 5 natural ingredients. You can whip them up in no time and keep them in the freezer for when you want a sweet treat.

Peanut butter cups
Makes 6 cupcake sized cups, or 12 minis.

1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/3 cup creamy peanut butter [[just peanuts & salt]] Almond butter works too!
3 T honey or maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon of salt

1.  In a small saucepan, melt cocoa powder & coconut oil over low heat.
2. Add 2 tablespoons of the honey or maple syrup and stir. Remove from the heat.
3. Add the salt.
4. Line a muffin tin with 6 paper liners.
5. Add 1 tablespoon of the chocolate mixture into the bottom of each.
6. Move the pan around so that some of the chocolate goes up the side of the liner.
7. Freeze for 15 minutes.
8. While they're freezing, combine the remaining tablespoon of honey or maple syrup with the peanut butter.
9. Remove pan from the freezer and spoon about 1 tablespoon of the peanut butter into each cup.
10. Top with remaining chocolate mixture.
11. Freeze for at least 20 minutes and enjoy!
